Who we are

Pianu is operated by YourAI LLC. If you have any question about your privacy or your data, email us at support@pianu.app.

What we collect

We keep as little as possible:

• Your account. When you sign in, we store the email address tied to your login so the app knows it's you.
• Usage information. Each time you scan a piece of music, we record a small amount of metadata — that a scan happened, when, how long it took, the size of the image, and which model ran it. We use this to run the service and keep your scan count accurate.

Your sheet-music photos

When you scan, your photo is sent to our transcription service, read into memory, and turned into a playable score. As soon as the score is returned, the image is discarded. We do not save your photos, we do not build a library of them, and we never use them to train models. The only thing we keep from a scan is the small usage record described above — never the picture itself.

Purchases

Scanning is a paid feature, handled entirely through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see or store your card details.

How we use your data

We use the little we collect only to provide Pianu: to sign you in, transcribe your music, count your scans against your plan, and diagnose problems when something goes wrong. We do not use your data for advertising.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your data and we don't share it for advertising. We rely on a few infrastructure providers to run the service — our authentication and database provider (Supabase), our hosting and content delivery provider (Cloudflare), and our transcription compute provider (Modal) — and they process data only to make Pianu work.

Children

Pianu is designed for families, but it is a parent-operated tool: accounts and purchases are meant to be set up and managed by an adult. Pianu is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, email support@pianu.app and we will delete it.

Your rights and deleting your data

You can ask us to delete your account and the data associated with it at any time. Email support@pianu.app from the address on your account and we'll take care of it.

Security

Your login and data are protected in transit and at rest by our infrastructure providers, and access is limited to what's needed to run the service.

Changes to this policy

If we make a meaningful change to how we handle your data, we'll update this page. Continuing to use Pianu after a change means you accept the updated policy.
